Suede, Nubuck & Embossed Nubuck
To maintain your Suede, Nubuck & Embossed Nubuck's articles, follow the steps below :
Before using Suede, Nubuck or Embossed Nubuck items for the first time, apply a waterproofing spray to protect them against rain and stains! Shake and apply the spray evenly at a distance of 20cm from the surface and leave to dry for several hours before wear. Apply the spray regularly for long lasting protection. Suede and Nubuck are delicate materials. As such, avoid wearing shoes or leather items in rainy weather or in situations where they are likely to get stained!
Dust off
Dust them off using a soft brush, concentrating on the areas with marks to help them disappear. Use a crepe brush for more embedded marks and to help raise the suede nap.
Remove stains
For stubborn stains, use the Stain Eraser for suede and nubuck on the affected area in order to remove them. The Eraser will not work on greasy stains (oil, petrol, etc.): for these, we advise applying Terre de Sommières to absorb the grease.
Clean
Clean your shoes with a special suede shampoo. Most need little water and don’t have to be rinsed off! After you rub the shoes evenly, let them dry for a few hours away from a heat source.
Revive
Use a Colour Renovator Spray to restore the shine to your shoes. Shake and apply the spray evenly at a distance of 20cm from the surface before leaving to dry for several hours.
Waterproof
Lastly, protect your shoes against rain and stains using a Waterproofing Spray. Leave them to dry for several hours, after which you are free to enjoy your Suede or Nubuck items as if they were brand new!
