The distinguished appearance of Le Courtois will cause a sensation!
Our hand-aged calf leathers
The calf leather used to create this pair comes from one of Italy's most famous tanneries, which has been supplying the main luxury firms for decades. Received in its raw state, its deep hues are obtained thanks to the meticulous work of our master bootmaker, who is an expert in the know-how of patina. For nearly thirty minutes, through a clever mixture of our different shades, manual work generates these subtle variations of tones that will make each pair unique.
Our Blake-stitched sole
Used in most of our men's shoes, the Blake stitch is a single seam connecting the inner sole, the outsole and the stem of the shoe. Simple and sturdy, it makes for soft, slim-shaped shoes that make you feel immediately comfortable. It is handcrafted by the shoemakers of our Sao Joao de Madeira workshops to guarantee optimal durability for your shoes.
Our production workshops in Portugal
We work hand-in-hand with family-owned workshops every day to develop the most perfect and comfortable models with the finest finishes. Each workshop is selected for its own specific traditional know-how: the variety of the steps needed to create a studded moccasin, the technicality of a Strobel-made sneaker, the expertise of the perfect arch of our heels or even the mastery of the upside down assembly that offers unrivalled suppleness to our ballet flats and slippers.
